Seasonal Cheese Retail & Grazing Board Prep
Location: Wakefield, MA, Seasonal, In-Person
Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and energetic individual to join our team for the busy holiday season. This role is a hybrid position that involves both direct customer service in our retail shop and hands-on food preparation in our catering kitchen. The ideal candidate is passionate about high-quality food, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is a collaborative team player. The season runs from approximately late-October through early January, with the possibility of a permanent part-time position starting in 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail & Customer Service:
- Provide an exceptional customer experience: Greet and assist customers with a friendly and knowledgeable approach.
- Cheese and product knowledge: Learn about our wide selection of cheeses, charcuterie, and specialty food items to make informed recommendations.
- Retail operations: Assist with stocking, inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the retail space.
- Point of Sale (POS): Accurately process transactions using our POS system.
Catering & Kitchen Prep:
- Food preparation: Prepare, cut, and package cheese and charcuterie for retail and catering orders.
- Board assembly: Assemble aesthetically pleasing grazing boards and platters with precision and attention to detail.
- Kitchen organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and sanitation regulations.
- Event support: Assist with preparing for and packing catering orders for events.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a food service, retail, or hospitality role is preferred.
- A strong interest in cheese, charcuterie, and specialty foods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Flexibility to work during peak holiday hours, including weekends.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience.

Part-Time Marketing Intern
Location: Wakefield, MA (Remote/Hybrid)
Hours: Part-time, 10-15 hours/week
Position Summary:
Life Love Cheese is seeking a creative and organized Part-Time Marketing Intern to help us grow our brand presence and engage with our community. This is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in small business marketing, social media, and content creation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about food, particularly cheese, and has a strong understanding of social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management: Assist in developing and scheduling content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms. This includes creating engaging posts, stories, and reels that highlight our products, events, and brand story.
- Content Creation: Capture high-quality photos and videos of products, boards, sandwiches, and the shop environment.
- Email Marketing: Help draft and schedule weekly newsletters using a platform like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media to foster a positive and active online community.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date on social media trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices.
- Administrative Support: Assist with other marketing and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a marketing, communications, or food-related program.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, especially Instagram.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative eye for photography and videography.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with a remote supervisor.
- A passion for food, cheese, and supporting small businesses is a plus!
Compensation:
- This is a paid internship. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
